Frequently asked questions
Can I get a loan as a serving corps member?
Yes. With a valid NYSC ID and your monthly allowance paid into your own account, you can apply for an NYSC or corper loan. Repayment is spread across your remaining service months.
I just passed out of NYSC. What can I apply for?
NYSC-specific loans end at passing out, but you may qualify for a Remita salary loan once employed, or a business loan if you run a business with verifiable income.
Do I need a guarantor or collateral?
No. Eligibility is based on your NYSC status, salary or business income. You will not be asked for land documents or a guarantor for standard loan sizes.
Does my state of deployment or location matter?
No. Applications are fully online and open to eligible applicants in all 36 states and the FCT.
Will checking eligibility affect my credit record?
No. The eligibility check is free and does not touch your credit record. Only an actual loan appears on your record — and repaying on time builds positive history.
How does repayment through Remita work?
If your salary or allowance is processed through Remita, your fixed instalment is deducted at source each month before the balance reaches your account. The mandate ends automatically when the loan closes.
What happens if my allowance or salary is delayed?
Deductions follow the payment, so a payroll delay shifts your instalment rather than creating a default. Report persistent delays to support so your schedule can be adjusted.
Can I repay early?
Yes, you can settle your balance at any time. [Confirm whether early settlement attracts a fee or rebate with the lender.]
Can the deduction take my whole allowance or salary?
No. Instalments are capped at a share of your monthly income when the offer is calculated, and the mandate cannot deduct more than the agreed fixed amount.
What documents do I need?
Typically your NYSC ID or work ID, BVN, one valid ID (NIN, passport or driver’s licence) and your bank details. Business loans add bank statements and, for larger amounts, CAC registration.
How long does approval take?
Document verification typically completes within [24 hours — confirm real figure], and funds are disbursed shortly after you accept your offer.
Can I apply from my phone?
Yes — the whole process runs on mobile, including document upload. You can also apply through the app on Google Play.
Is CorperLoansNG a lender?
We provide loan information and facilitation. Final terms, approval and disbursement depend on the actual lender and your eligibility. [Confirm exact licensing/partnership wording.]
How do I know this is not a scam?
You are never asked to pay an upfront fee, and every offer shows the full cost before you accept. Verify our contact details on this site and deal only through official channels. Anyone demanding a "processing fee" upfront is a fraudster.
Is my BVN safe to share?
Your BVN is used only for identity verification through licensed channels; it cannot be used to move money from your account. Never share it with unverified agents outside an official application.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Because deductions are automatic, missed payments are rare. If one occurs, contact support immediately — late fees and credit-bureau reporting depend on the lender’s terms, which are shown in your offer.
